School Psychologist (PSY) – School – (PSY – School)

Start Date: 8/18/2025     Available Shifts: 6.5 D   Pay Rate: $1735.99 – $1902.20

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in South Holland, IL, to hire a School Psychologist to work in the area, providing services to children of all ages. This School Psychologist will provide counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the general student population, addressing issues such as mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, and conduct disorders to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development.

Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing IEPs and 504 Plans, providing individual and group counseling, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators, providing crisis intervention, and coordinating outreach activities with pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and government agencies like DCF and DMH.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
  • State Certification and/or Licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in a school setting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in educational settings
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
