School Psychologist (PSY) ‐ School

Start Date: 8/21/2025 | Pay Rate: $1860.00 ‐ $2143.00

Position Overview

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a top school district in Jacksonville, NC, to hire a School Psychologist. The role involves providing psychological services to children of all ages, including counseling for students on IEPs and the general student population, addressing issues such as mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, and conduct disorders. The psychologist will conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs and 504 Plans, provide individual and group counseling, collaborate with educational staff and families, and support crisis intervention and outreach activities.

Required Qualifications
  1. North Carolina Licensed Psychologist (LP) certification or equivalent
  2. Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
  3. State Certification and/or Licensure as a School Psychologist
  4. Experience working in a school setting
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions
  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
  4. Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in educational settings
  5. Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with regulations
