Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a School Psychologist to support students aged 3–21 in a district near Providence, RI. The role offers part-time or full-time schedules through June 2027.

Responsibilities include evaluations, eligibility determinations, IEP development, counseling, behavioral support, and collaboration with teachers, families and administrators. Requirements include a Masters/Doctoral in School Psychology and RI certification (RIDE 5403); compensation ranges from $45.50 to $65.50 per hour

Qualifications

• Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403).
• Experience or significant interest working with students ages 3–21.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving school environments and student populations.

Job description

Youll play a key role in supporting students from ages 3 to 21, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. The responsibilities are varied, offering both depth and flexibility depending on the specific assignment. Your day may include conducting evaluations, facilitating assessments, leading eligibility determinations, and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Youll also provide vital counseling and behavioral support, participate in intervention planning, and consult regularly with teachers, families, administrators, and other specialists. Additional duties may include crisis response, progress monitoring, data collection, and other essential psychological services tailored to the needs of each school or program.

Qualifications:

• Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (RIDE 5403)
• Experience or significant interest in working with students aged 321
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of school environments and student populations
