Job summary

Miriam Learning Center in Missouri seeks a school psychologist/examiner to evaluate students ages 3–18, identifying academic, social, and emotional issues. Working with an LCSW, the team will provide a medical diagnosis using DSM-5-TR. Private and IEE evaluations occur during after school and early evenings.

You will follow DESE guidelines, conduct testing, prepare reports, attend eligibility meetings, and ensure timely documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Missouri DESE criteria knowledge.
• Three years of public school evaluation experience.
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with DESE and DSM-V criteria for testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Complete private evaluations using DSM-5 criteria.
• Review RED, attendance and discipline data.
• Determine appropriate test selections based on data.
• Conduct interviews with parents/guardians and teachers.
• Distribute and score behavioral and adaptive scales.
• Schedule and attend eligibility conferences.
• Score and write diagnostic findings; prepare reports.
• Present eligibility criteria to multidisciplinary team.
• Provide accommodations/recommendations in final report.
• Finalize written report within 10 days post-conference.
• Submit billing and track hours.
• Other duties as assigned by coordinator.
