Alexandria City Public Schools is seeking a part-time School Psychology intern for the 2027-2028 school year. Interns are assigned to two supervisors and work across multiple ACPS schools, gaining experience in diverse settings.

Regular seminars with interns and supervisors are held, and interns meet weekly with their supervisors to discuss cases and reports. The position involves educational evaluations, counseling, and collaboration with teachers and staff under supervision, with a set stipend

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; pursuing Master's or higher in School Psychology preferred.
• Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Enrolled in or completing an approved school psychology program.

Job Description:

The School Psychology interns are assigned to two supervisors, and then work in each of the psychologist's schools. Interns also have the opportunity work with other ACPS psychologists in various school settings and programs within the school district to broaden their range of experiences during internship. Regularly scheduled seminars with other interns and intern supervisors are held to explore current topics in the field. All interns meet with their individual supervisors weekly to discuss cases, review written reports, discuss issues, and problem-solve through the school year.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required, completion of university requirements in a program of study leading to a Master's or higher level degree in School Psychology.
• Experience: Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
