The position is onsite with flexible assignment lengths and locations, offering healthcare, housing, and meals/incidentals. Requires CDE SSP endorsement and solid collaboration and documentation skills. Strong communication, crisis management, and the ability to work with diverse student populations

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Psychology or higher is required.
• Active CDE SSP license endorsement in School Psychology.
• Experience working in school settings is essential.
• Ability to collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with IEP goals.
• Develop and implement interventions for academic, emotional and behavioral needs.
• Conduct risk/threat assessments and crisis management as needed.
• Complete psycho-educational assessments and write evaluation reports.
• Participate in IEP/MTSS and related team meetings.
• Coordinate with staff, families, service providers and community agencies.
• Provide mental health support to general and special education students.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records.

Job description

This contract opportunity offers flexibility in assignment length and location, with three distinct coverage options availableeach serving diverse student communities and age groups. As an onsite professional, youll play a pivotal role supporting students academic, social-emotional, and behavioral health during critical leave coverages at local schools.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree or higher (Specialist or Doctorate) in School Psychology
• Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
• Prior experience working in school settings is essential
• Strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving, oral and written communication
• Proven ability to collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and outside agencies
• Calm, solution-oriented approach to crisis and multitasking in dynamic environments
• Proficiency in technology platforms related to educational and psychological services
• Successful completion of district credentialing, including background check and fingerprinting

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with IEP mental health goals for special education students
• Develop and implement interventions to address academic, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Conduct risk/threat assessments and crisis management activities, intervening when urgent needs arise
• Complete psycho-educational assessments, write comprehensive evaluation reports, and propose IEP goals
• Participate in collaborative meetings (IEPs, MTSS, behavioral health, staff)
• Consult and coordinate with staff, families, service providers, and community agencies
• Provide mental health support and psychoeducation for general and special education populations
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and records compliance
