Job Description

We’re seeking a talented, full-time School Psychologist to join our school-based services team in Detroit, MI.

Professional License Requirements

Applicants must have the following, legally mandated certifications. Applications without these requirements will not be considered:

• Master’s Degree or higher in School Psychology
• Active state-level credential as a School Psychologist

Responsibilities

• Providing psychological counseling to students, parents, and staff
• Conducting psycho-educational evaluations of school-aged children and developing reports on findings
• Making referrals to community resources as needed
• Observing pupils in classrooms and other settings
• Serving as a member of the IEP team for students with psychological concerns
• Facilitating goals and objectives per individual educational plans
• Administering and evaluating psychological tests to assess development
• Maintaining appropriate records
• Collaborating with school personnel and parents to develop programs for eligible students
• Ensuring services comply with state laws and regulations
• Fulfilling other school psychologist needs as they arise
