Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or related field is required.
  • State Certification as a School Psychologist (e.g., FL SEA Certification) is required.
  • Preferably holds Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential.
  • Experience with school-based psychoeducational evaluations and IEP teams.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including intellectual and academic evaluations.
  • Develop recommendations for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide consultation and case management for students and staff.
  • Lead FBAs and BIPs.
  • Provide consultation and case management for students and staff.
  • Participate in manifestation determination meetings and crisis response as needed.
  • Collaborate with school teams, families, and other professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws related to students with disabilities.
  • Serve as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments (intellectual, academic, behavioral, emotional, and functional)
  • Interpret results and assist in determining eligibility for special education services
  • Develop recommendations for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Lead Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Provide consultation and case management for students and staff
  • Participate in manifestation determination meetings and crisis response when needed
  • Collaborate with school teams, families, and other professionals
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws related to students with disabilities
  • Serve as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team
Requirements & Qualifications
