Job summary
Bastrop ISD Special Programs and Services is seeking a School Psychologist to evaluate students for Special Education eligibility and participate in ARDC decisions. The role emphasizes administering assessments, interpreting results, and collaborating with educators and families to support eligible students.
Requirements include a Master’s in educational assessment and Texas licensure or eligibility for the intern license.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in educational assessment from an accredited college or university.
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
- OR eligibility for a School Psychologist Intern license as defined by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP).
Responsibilities
- Evaluate students to determine Special Education eligibility and administer relevant tests.
- Comply with federal/state timelines and district procedures for evaluations and IEP management.
- Work as part of an ARDC/multi-disciplinary team to complete high-quality evaluations.
- Communicate findings clearly to parents, teachers, and staff; document services timely.
- Assist with IEP development and placement decisions as needed.
