Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) seeks a School Psychologist to support student well-being across IL school settings. You will provide counseling, collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists, and help implement supports for students' social and emotional growth.

The role emphasizes partnership with school teams, adherence to district policies, and ongoing professional development. A Master's in Psychology and state endorsement or eligibility are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Psychology.
  • Endorsement as School Psychologist or eligible per state.
  • Experience or specialized training in pediatric mental health preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain ethical standards.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Coordinate with staff, parents, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling services to students and parents.
  • Participate in multi-tiered system of support for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including participation in inter-disciplinary meetings to evaluate and discuss the diagnosis and treatment of students.
  • Participate in initial IEP and annual IEP development as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with and coach families and staff during weekly team meetings and follow-up meetings to support social and emotional development.
  • Adhere to procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines and procedural safeguards.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.
