Job summary

Career Links is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year in New Mexico to join a collaborative school team. The role involves comprehensive assessments, MDT participation, and implementing evidence-based interventions to support students with IEPs.

Qualified candidates hold an advanced degree in School Psychology and a valid NM license, with strong communication skills and knowledge of IDEA/504 regulations. A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available.

Qualifications

  • Master's, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid New Mexico Public Education Department School Psychologist License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain background clearances per state regulations.
  • Knowledge of psychometric principles and assessment practices.
  • Experience administering and interpreting standardized and informal assessments.
  • Understanding of child development and learning/emotional/behavioral disorders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychoeducational, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments.
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports based on data.
  • Participate in eligibility determinations, IEP, and MDT meetings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
  • Develop evidence-based interventions and supports.
  • Provide consultation on academic, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed.
  • Support IDEA, Section 504, and NM special education regulations.
  • Communicate findings to parents and school personnel; promote well-being.
