Job summary

Rutherford County Schools in Forest City, North Carolina, is seeking a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year to support student learning and social and emotional development in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Under general supervision, you will identify and assess student needs, provide interventions to support learning, consult with parents, teachers and community partners, assist in program development, and deliver a coordinated program of psychological services

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in psychology with North Carolina license.
• Experience in school psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess learning, development, and adjustment needs using data.
• Provide interventions to support teaching and learning.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and community agencies to enhance student outcomes.
• Assist in planning, development, and evaluation of programs for identified needs.
• Deliver a planned and coordinated program of psychological services.
• Adhere to ethics and laws governing practice; engage in professional development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Complete required MAC program studies; perform related duties.
