Job Description
Responsibilities will include:
- Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning, eligibility determinations, and educational planning
- Participate as a collaborative member of multidisciplinary teams including Child Study Team (CST) and Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings
- Develop and contribute to individualized educational programming and behavioral intervention planning
- Maintain clinical progress notes, evaluation reports, and other required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and administrators regarding effective instructional practices, learning needs, and social-emotional supports
- Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional development
- Assist in the development and implementation of interventions and supports for students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
- Support school-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, student wellness, and social-emotional learning
- Interpret assessment data and communicate findings clearly to staff and families
- Maintain strong professional relationships and contribute positively to a collaborative educational environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Connecticut Certification: 070 School Psychologist required
Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field required
- Knowledge of psychoeducational assessment practices, special education procedures, and student support services
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive practices and supporting the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students
SALARY: Per NFEA Contract
