Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and educational evaluations to inform eligibility decisions for special education and related services.

• Prepare comprehensive written reports meeting state and federal standards.
• Participate in initial evaluations, reevaluations, and independent educational evaluations as needed.
• Serve on Child Study Teams, Problem Solving Teams, and IEP teams with advocacy for students.
• Provide individual and small-group interventions focusing on social-emotional learning and crisis response.

Job description

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid Minnesota School Psychologist License required
• Background in Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS or MnMTSS) highly valued
• Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
• Experience in crisis prevention, threat assessment, and supporting school mental health initiatives
• Skill in providing professional development or coaching to educators
• Understanding of culturally responsive assessment and instructional strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough psychological and educational evaluations to support eligibility decisions for special education and related services
• Clearly interpret and communicate assessment results to parents and educational teams, helping to inform interventions and supports
• Prepare comprehensive written reports following Minnesota Department of Education and federal standards
• Take part in initial evaluations, reevaluations, and independent educational evaluations as needed
• Serve actively on Child Study Teams, Problem Solving Teams, and IEP teams, contributing your expertise and advocacy for student needs
• Provide individual and small-group interventions with a focus on social-emotional learning, behavior management, and crisis response when necessary
