Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Bilingual School Psychologist for an onsite role in Danbury, CT, from August 2026 through May 2027. The psychologist will conduct evaluations, provide counseling, and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students.

Responsibilities include IEP/504 planning, inter-disciplinary teamwork, and maintaining compliant documentation. Fluency in Spanish and Portuguese is required, with Connecticut educator certification.

Job description

Make a difference in the lives of students as a Bilingual School Psychologist working onsite in the Danbury area for the upcoming academic sessions. In this contract role, youll leverage your expertise to support the diverse needs of a school community, working 3032.5 hours per week with a caseload focused on both Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking students. Your ability to engage across grade levels and your knowledge of cross-cultural assessment will be critical in providing high-quality psychological services from August 2026 through May 2027.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Educator Certification
• Fluency in both Spanish and Portuguese
• Experience facilitating assessments and counseling for students at any grade level
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Understanding of cultural influences on learning and behavior

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations for students referred for assessment, ensuring culturally sensitive practices
• Offer individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student interventions and support plans
• Participate in team meetings, serve on relevant committees, and contribute to IEP/504 planning
• Maintain thorough, compliant, and confidential documentation of all student records and services provided
