Position Summary
The School Psychologist performs professional psychological services to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development of students. This position involves conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. The School Psychologist collaborates with educators, parents, and other school personnel to design and implement evidence-based interventions, behavioral plans, and support strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and behavioral challenges.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals.
Posture: Frequent walking, standing, Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse. Occasional reaching.
Lifting: Lifting and carrying 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with assistance; Pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically.
Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise. May be required under specific circumstances to provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others. Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel.
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions and prolonged or irregular hours.
