Job summary

Qualifications

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license in Michigan or eligible for reciprocity.
  • Master’s or doctoral degree in School Psychology or closely related field.
  • Experience with psychological testing, assessments, and IEP development.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state regulations for special education.
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpret findings.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop tailored interventions.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, provide input for eligibility decisions, and monitor progress.
  • Offer crisis intervention and counseling for students as needed.
  • Contribute to positive behavioral support plans and school-wide mental health initiatives.
  • Provide consultative support to teachers regarding classroom strategies and accommodations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements.
