Location: US, Alaska

Employment Type: Part time

Salary Range:

Description

Opportunity: Lighthouse Therapy is seeking School Psychologists for remote work as 1099 contractors with Alaska school districts for the 2024-2025 school year.

Commitment: Willingness to support a minimum of 20 students per week for the 2025-2026 school year, with potential for renewal. You control your caseload; if you agree to the 20-student minimum, you are not obligated to take more students. Caseloads are not guaranteed; referrals may take several weeks to build.

Partial Caseload Clarification: This opening is for those who desire flexibility and prefer a partial caseload.

Caseload Definition:

At Lighthouse Therapy, a "Student" is a child receiving 30 minutes of service once a week. A caseload of 20 students equals 10 hours of direct therapy weekly.

Questions & Answers:
  • What if I see students requiring more time? - A student receiving 30 minutes twice a week counts as two students.
  • Why discuss time in "Students" rather than "Hours"? - To keep focus on helping students, aligning with our mission.
  • Why a minimum caseload of 20 students? - To promote therapist satisfaction and stability, leading to better school integration and referrals.
What You Get:
  • Schedule matching with students
  • Mentoring for new therapists
  • Access to electronic medical records, Zoom, G-Suite, and Lighthouse Therapy's Assessment Library
  • Remote work benefits, including no commute and more family time
About Us:

Founded in 2018 by Janet Courtney, a seasoned therapist who prioritized student well-being over profits, Lighthouse Therapy is committed to supporting therapists and students with a focus on online therapy success.

Job Types:

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in School Psychology
  • Active Alaska School Psychologist License or willingness to apply
  • Reliable internet, dedicated computer with webcam, quiet space
  • Strong rapport-building, communication skills, and patience

Preferred: Prior experience in educational settings and 2+ years in schools.
