Location: Sterling, MA

Job Type: Full-Time, School Year Position

Hourly Rate: $45/hr - $65/hr based on experience

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to support the academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being of our students. This position provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on student success in a dynamic and diverse educational environment.

Qualifications

  1. Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
  2. Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist License (or eligibility for licensure).
  3. Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
  4. Strong knowledge of child development, assessment tools, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  5. Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  7. Strong commitment to promoting equity and inclusion within the school community.
Responsibilities
  1. Student Assessments: Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral needs. Analyze assessment data and provide recommendations for intervention strategies.
  2. Counseling & Support: Provide individual and group counseling services to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties. Develop and implement therapeutic interventions.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement strategies for supporting students academic and social-emotional growth.
  4. Crisis Intervention: Provide support and guidance in crisis situations and assist in developing behavior intervention plans.
  5. Special Education Services: Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  6. Professional Development: Stay current on best practices, trends, and research in school psychology and mental health, and provide training and resources to staff as needed.
