QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education:

• Hold a valid Oklahoma School Psychologist Certificate with at least 2 years of directly related experience is preferred.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist in the identification and initial referral of disabled children.
• Participate in comprehensive staffing.
• Coordinate the information flow from the department to other appropriate service providers.
• Be familiar with Medicaid billing practices and complete Medicaid billing for qualified students.
• Prepare comprehensive psychological and education assessments and reports.
• Make recommendations for intervention and act as an IEP team member.
• Attend categorical eligibility which involves presentation of evaluation results.
• Provide formal/informal in-service to administrators, parents, and teachers.
• Attend necessary workshops and continuing education to maintain certification.
• Maintain confidential records.
• Ability to conduct and compile FBA’s and BIP’s.
• Other duties as assigned.
