QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Hold a valid Oklahoma School Psychologist Certificate with at least 2 years of directly related experience is preferred.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following duties are representative of performance expectations. A reasonable accommodation may be made to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform essential functions.
- Assist in the identification and initial referral of disabled children.
- Participate in comprehensive staffing.
- Coordinate the information flow from the department to other appropriate service providers.
- Be familiar with Medicaid billing practices and complete Medicaid billing for qualified students.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological and education assessments and reports.
- Make recommendations for intervention and act as an IEP team member.
- Attend categorical eligibility which involves presentation of evaluation results.
- Provide formal/informal in-service to administrators, parents, and teachers.
- Attend necessary workshops and continuing education to maintain certification.
- Maintain confidential records.
- Ability to conduct and compile FBA’s and BIP’s.
- Other duties as assigned.
