Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a School Psychologist to support students with mental health and developmental needs in school settings. The role involves providing on-site psychological services under state and district jurisdiction and assisting in qualifying students for additional support services.

Applicants should hold current state licensure or certification and meet state requirements; a Master’s degree in psychology is preferred, with pediatric experience and CPR

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure/certification in the state of assignment.
• Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations preferred.
• Master's degree in psychology preferred.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on‑site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment

• Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred

• Master’s degree in psychology preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x‑ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
