Birch Agency is seeking a School Psychologist to support students in the Newberry, South Carolina area for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract position offers a hybrid schedule: four days onsite and one day remote each week, serving three schools with a caseload of about 50 students.

The role involves psychoeducational evaluations, report writing, IEP participation, and collaboration with teachers and families to implement academic and behavioral supports across K–12.

Qualifications

• Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
• Valid South Carolina School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong assessment, report writing, communication, and consultation skills.
• Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and collaborate across multiple school sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments.
• Interpret assessment results and prepare detailed evaluation reports.
• Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
• Assist in developing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed.
• Support crisis intervention, prevention, and school-based mental health initiatives.
• Collaborate with school staff to promote positive learning environments and student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
