School Psychologist at Little Raven Elementary School - 1.0 FTE

DUTIES
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to maintain and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing needs; knowledge of current special education laws and practices; demonstrate effective group facilitation skills; ability to work individually with students; knowledge of best practices in assessment, service delivery and response to intervention models; demonstrate ability in using data in developing IEPs, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, danger assessments and crisis intervention; ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with colleagues, students and parents; desire and ability to function as a team member; ability to work with students in whole class and small group settings, knowledge of effective behavior management techniques; knowledge of running effective counseling groups; case management; crisis intervention; effective oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION
  1. Minimum of 60 graduate semester hours for the preparation of school psychologist.
  2. Hold or be eligible to hold a Colorado Department of Education License.
  3. Hold appropriate endorsement(s) as school psychologist.
EXPERIENCE
  1. Successful completion of internship in school psychology.
  2. Previous teaching experience subject area and/or level desirable.
STARTING SALARY RANGE

Annual salary schedule based on 1.0 FTE
