• School psychology intern: 192-day contracted internship, starting salary $56,975.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Provides services necessary for the identification, diagnostic evaluation and educational programming for children and youth with disabilities
• Supports school improvement and implementation of the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
• Works within school systems to assist in the development and implementation of positive school-wide systems of support
• Uses functional assessment techniques designed to focus on children’s relationships with home, school and community and on the development of interventions to improve educational performance
• Assists schools in implementing social, emotional, behavioral and mental health learning practices that benefit all students
• Collaborates with teachers and administrators to plan educational services and tiered support for students
• Provides professional learning to teachers and schools
• Serves as an advocate for all children and youth

Education & Experience

• Specialist-level (60 graduate hours) or a doctorate degree from an accredited school psychology program
• Appropriatelicense/certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners
• Full-time with specialist-level training working 192 days a year: starting salary of $56,975
• Full-time with doctorate-level training, working 192 days a year: as much as $99,449
• School psychology intern working a 192-day contracted internship: starting salary of $56,975
