Essential Functions
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of current federal and state special education laws and local guidelines (MARSE).
Ability to identify at-risk students and develop research based academic and behavioral interventions in the least restrictive environment.
Ability to administer full psychological/academic/social-emotional evaluations for students aged birth to 26 years.
Specialized Education
Candidate must possess a Master’s or Specialist Degree from an accredited school psychology-training program. The candidate, additionally, must possess the following: A valid Permanent State of Michigan School Psychologist Certification or provisional State of Michigan School Psychologist Certification.
Certifications, Licenses, Registration.
Fully Licensed Psychologist Preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Mastery administering psychological, academic, social/emotional assessments and research-based interventions (WJ IV, WISC, and BASC).
Required is a minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with school-aged children and families
Experience and knowledge of a diverse population of students with varying abilities and needs.
Physical Requirements
Able to lift 15 pounds to carry, push and/or pull items
Hear and speak to exchange information in person or on the telephone
The ability to travel to other buildings within the district is required
