Job summary

Total Communication Therapy LLC is seeking a School Psychologist for school-based positions in Cherokee County School District, Georgia. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with in-person work locations and a supportive, practitioner-owned environment.

Qualifications

  • Specialist (Ed.S.), Master's plus Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • GaPSC certification in School Psychology or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results.
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to consult with school personnel regarding academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
  • Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports.
  • Participate in eligibility, IEP, Section 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and related service providers to support student success.
  • Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions.
  • Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and crisis response as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all federal, state, district, and professional standards.
  • Support positive learning environments through data-driven recommendations and collaborative problem-solving.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504, Georgia eligibility requirements, and special education due process.
  • Knowledge and experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting assessment results.
