Description: Full-time Program Assistants - for Highland School District (174 days; 7 hours per day; $19.24 per hour plus benefits) (several positions at various grade levels in the district)

Job Summary: In addition to possessing the physical ability to restrain students and navigate the school campus, applicants must be willing to:

• Learn and implement, with support from classroom teacher, a system to monitor students' behavior and academic progress.
• Collect and report data on student progress.
• Work collaboratively with staff in order to deliver service to students.
• Receive training and use CPI restraint when necessary.
• Assist teacher with lessons and instruction to students with a variety of academic and behavioral needs.
• Cooperate with teachers of all departments to support a collaborative school culture.
  

Qualifications: Must meet requirements for Paraprofessional endorsement or Substitute Teacher license through the ISBE.
