Full-time Program Assistants - for Highland School District (174 days; 7 hours per day; $19.24 per hour plus benefits) (several positions at various grade levels in the district)

Job Summary

In addition to possessing the physical ability to restrain students and navigate the school campus, applicants must be willing to:

• Learn and implement, with support from classroom teacher, a system to monitor students' behavior and academic progress.
• Collect and report data on student progress.
• Work collaboratively with staff in order to deliver service to students.
• Receive training and use CPI restraint when necessary.
• Assist teacher with lessons and instruction to students with a variety of academic and behavioral needs.
• Cooperate with teachers of all departments to support a collaborative school culture.

Qualifications

Must meet requirements for Paraprofessional endorsement or Substitute Teacher license through the ISBE.
