Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to support PreK-12 students across several Fort Myers-area school sites. This full-time, contracted role requires travel between campuses to provide tailored PT services and collaborate with educators and families to promote student mobility and growth.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy with an active Florida license and school-based experience.

Qualifications

Job description

Make an impact across multiple school sites as an experienced Physical Therapist in the Fort Myers area. In this full-time, contracted role, youll support Pre K12 students with diverse needs, working closely with educators and families to foster student growth and mobility. Your days will be dynamic as you travel between different schools within the district, ensuring each student receives specialized, high-quality care.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
• Active Physical Therapist license from the Florida Department of Health
• Experience in a school-based setting is highly valued
• Flexible and comfortable working with Pre K12 age groups across itinerant assignments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Completion of required fingerprinting and ability to obtain a JLA badge; familiarity with the AHCA Clearinghouse process is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored physical therapy services to students across several school campuses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records
• Provide guidance and training to staff about mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment
• Communicate regularly with families, teachers, and school administrators to support student goals
