Job summary

Adelphi is seeking a qualified Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide school-based physical therapy services in a school setting in San Antonio, Texas. This contract role requires a Degree in Physical Therapy and a current Texas license, plus a minimum of one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assess students with physical disabilities and determine eligibility for physical therapy services.
• Plan and provide direct physical therapy services consistent with students' IEP goals.
• Provide consultative physical therapy services to support student participation in the educational program.
• Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of physical therapy services.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings to assist with assessment interpretation, placement, and goal setting.
• Provide training and in-service education to school personnel regarding physical therapy programs and related topics.
• Coordinate with families, district personnel, and medical professionals regarding student needs.
• Maintain accurate physical therapy records and ensure confidentiality.
• Comply with federal and state requirements and district policies.
