Job summary

Nyman Associates is seeking a School Physical Therapist to support students with disabilities in school settings. You will assess physical abilities and deliver interventions aimed at promoting participation and success in school activities.

The position involves developing individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals, implementing techniques to improve motion and mobility, and collaborating with teachers, therapists, and staff to support student access and progress.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) or eligibility for certification
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a physical therapist

Responsibilities

  • Assess students' physical abilities to support access and engagement in educational activities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
  • Implement interventions to improve motion, mobility, and school participation.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor progress of therapy.
  • Document therapy sessions and collaborate with school team members
