Job summary

High Plains Mental Health Center is hiring a School Liaison to bridge between schools, families, and mental health services. This full-time, in-person position reports to our Western Kansas area and requires collaboration with school staff to identify and refer students to care.

You will coordinate intake and documentation, train school personnel on procedures, and help families access services while supporting teachers and administrators in navigating policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in human services or BA/BS degree is required.
• One year of related work equals one year of college.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong school partnerships with administrators, counselors, teachers, and support staff.
• Support early identification and referral processes by collaborating with school personnel.
• Provide guidance on referrals and documentation, including training staff on intake procedures and assessment tools.
• Facilitate timely service access by coordinating communication between schools, families, intake therapists, and clinical supervisors.
• Engage families through outreach and problem-solving to address barriers to treatment participation.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to monitor student progress and adjust services as needed.
• Complete thorough documentation and reporting in compliance with program standards.
