Job summary

Covelo Group is seeking a School Paraeducator in Bakersfield, CA to support students during their school day. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule and weekly pay, with pay up to $23 per hour.

You may work 1:1 or in a classroom setting, following IEPs and teacher guidance. Benefits for eligible full-time employees start after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with students who have varying support needs.
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Reliable transportation to assigned school sites.
• Ability to meet assignment-specific physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce academic, behavioral, and social skills.
• Provide 1:1, small-group, or classroom support.
• Follow IEPs and 504 plans.
• Support positive behavior and classroom expectations.
• Assist with transitions, meals, and activities.

• Observe progress and communicate with teachers.
• Assist with personal care when required.

Looking for a weekday role where you can work directly with students while keeping your evenings and weekends free? This school-based Paraeducator opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to support students throughout their school day.

Depending on your assignment, you may work 1:1 with a student or provide support within a classroom.
