Job summary

Adelphi is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to provide school OT services in San Antonio, TX. The OT will evaluate and support students, develop IEPs, and collaborate with ARD committees and school staff to ensure safe, compliant care.

The role emphasizes adherence to district standards, documentation, and ongoing communication with parents and multidisciplinary teams to promote student independence and success.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist license issued by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in school-based, pediatric, or special education occupational therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and eligibility assessments using district-approved instruments.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for eligible students.
• Provide direct and consultative OT services in accordance with ARD committee recommendations.
• Attend and participate in ARD Committee meetings.
• Consult with multi-disciplinary teams, teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student OT needs.
• Recommend and assist in selection of adaptive equipment and devices to promote student independence.
• Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of OT services.
• Complete and submit all reports, records, and required documentation in a timely manner per District standards.
• Comply with District dress code, administrative guidelines, and compliance policies.
