Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools in Concord, California is seeking an Operations Specialist to support daily lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal operations at a school site. You will help ensure safety and smooth routines for students and staff.

Under the supervision of the school site Business Operations Manager, you will assist with cafeteria tasks, enforce rules, and collaborate with educators to maintain a welcoming environment for Rocketeers.

Responsibilities

• Arrange set‑up and clean‑up for all food items, supplies, equipment, and serving areas.
• Collect payment for food items for students and staff as needed.
• Maintain cafeteria records and reports to meet local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries about meal type and cost.
• Supervise and monitor students during recess periods.
• Enforce site rules and safety regulations within Rocketship classroom culture.
• Report unsafe conditions to administrators immediately.
• Ensure safe arrival/dismissal for all students before/after school hours.
• Apply disciplinary procedures per the site discipline plan.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings as needed.
