Job summary

AHS Staffing is seeking a local contract School Occupational Therapist for a full-time school-based position in Oswego, Illinois. This in-person role supports K–12 and transition students within a therapeutic behavioral academy and a transition program, housed in the same building.

compensation is $53–$62+ per hour with a 40-hour workweek. Start ASAP with an end date of May 28, 2027. Candidates should hold an OT degree and an Illinois license, with pediatric/school experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
• Experience in therapeutic, behavioral, or transition programs is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students across a wide range of ages and support needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental, sensory, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct evaluations and three-year reevaluations.
• Complete annual reviews and contribute to IEP development.
• Deliver individualized and small-group occupational therapy interventions.
• Support students with fine motor skills, sensory regulation, daily living skills, and functional independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary special education teams.
• Support transition-aged students in developing functional and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and evaluation records.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 hours per week
