National Staffing Solutions-Therapy seeks a travel School Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) for a 42-week assignment in Soledad, California. Start ASAP; 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, travel position.

The OT will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, evaluate student needs, develop IEP-based plans, and document findings with comprehensive reports. Must have CA licensure, school-based experience, IEP participation, and current BLS.

Qualificações

• OTR/L licensed in California.
• One year of school-based experience.
• Experience with IEP processes and evaluations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery.
• Evaluates the student’s ability and formulates the student’s occupational profile through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, checklists, histories, and interviews.
• Synthesizes evaluation results into a comprehensive written report reflecting strengths and barriers to student participation in the educational environment; directs program development; and guides evidence-based intervention.
• Develops occupationally based intervention plans based on student needs and evaluation results.
• Participates in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrate findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop IEPs and intervention plans to achieve goals.
• Coordinates with the IEP team for the purpose of determining appropriate treatments and attends IEP Team Meetings.

Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist:

• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student occupational performance strengths and needs, through evaluation, educational program planning, and service delivery.

Job Qualifications for the Occupational Therapist:

• Occupational Therapy Graduate from an accredited school.
• Occupational Therapist license / Licensure in the state of practice.
• One or more year(s) of school-based experience.
• Participation in IEP Meetings and evaluations.
• Current BLS certification.
