Job summary

Pasadena Independent School District seeks a Child Nutrition Substitute to support meal production, serving and cleanup across campuses. You may be assigned to different duties and locations as needed, on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities include following health and safety guidelines, assisting with cashiering, and maintaining clean work areas while providing friendly service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow National School Breakfast and Lunch Program guidelines.
• Assist with meal prep of vegetables, salads, meats and bakery.
• Assist with cashiering duties as needed.
• Serve items to customers per offer vs serve guidelines.
• Assist with cleaning in dish room, kitchen and serving lines.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Store food items properly; keep storage area organized.
• Operate and care for kitchen equipment properly.
• Assist with trash removal.
• Follow health/Safety HACCP procedures.
• Support safe work environment and procedures.
• Be available to substitute at any campus.
• Arrive on time and maintain good attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
