Broward County Public Schools in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Food & Nutrition Services General Worker to support the preparation and service of nutritious meals across multiple sites. The role emphasizes following production schedules, food safety and HACCP compliance, customer service, and assisting with deliveries and inventory.

We offer full-time hours and opportunities to participate in ongoing training.

Competenze

Prior food service or cashier work experience.
Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
Computer skills as required for the position.

Mansioni

Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning.
Participate in state-approved trainings related to Foundations of School Food Service.
Provide exceptional customer service with professionalism when interacting with the public.
Operate point-of-sale systems following federal guidelines.
Adhere to HACCP and sanitation rules to ensure a safe work environment.
Perform kitchen duties including pre-prep, production, service, and cleanup.
Assist with ordering, storage, and inventories of supplies.
Follow recipes, record production data, and monitor temperatures.
Drive vans to satellite sites for deliveries and related tasks.
Drive refrigerated/freezer trucks between sites.
