Job summary

Mapleton Public Schools in Thornton, CO is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to support the district food service program. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, cleaning, and operating the point of sale, following planned menus and safety standards.

The position is 173 days per year, 3.5 hours daily, non-exempt status, with pay range $18.42 to $26.53 per hour. A high school diploma and prior commercial food service experience are required, with school food service experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous commercial food service experience required.
• School food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to planned menus and recipes following all applicable food safety standards.
• Serve students meals according to standardized recipe instructions following all applicable food safety standards.
• Clean and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen.
• Utilize point of sale system to record sales using district software.
• Attend staff development meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
