Job summary

ALABASTER CITY SCHOOLS is seeking a Child Nutrition Program (CNP) Manager to oversee school kitchen operations and ensure high food safety and quality standards. You will supervise staff, manage menus, and maintain production records within a 190-day contract structure.

Responsibilities include HACCP compliance, weekly ordering, inventory control using FIFO, and collaboration with administration. Strong ServSafe certification is required to ensure safe meals for students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen personnel in safe, efficient use of all kitchen equipment.
• Maintain HACCP standards and ensure ServSafe certification.
• Check food shipments and verify invoices before payment.
• Determine serving sizes to meet age requirements.
• Provide meals per planned menu; ensure quality in flavor and appearance.
• Maintain daily production records and inventory using FIFO.
• Order food and supplies weekly while keeping inventory to a minimum.
• Record meals served and requisitions; monitor storeroom inventory.
