Job summary

The position is part-time, 6 hours per day, 180 days per year, with duties on the school campus and routine menu coordination. Requires Food Handlers permit and ServSafe certificate; background check and Safe Schools training are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must possess or obtain a current Food Handlers permit within one week of employment.
• Must possess or obtain a ServSafe Certificate within three months of employment, as training is made available.
• Must pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
• Must complete Safe Schools Web Based Training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Must read and respond to email using standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Directs nutrition services workers and other personnel to ensure safe, efficient food service at the site.
• Cooks and prepares large quantities of meals meeting nutritional requirements for Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Supper.
• Verifies orders, maintains sanitary facilities, and balances meal funds and deposits.
• Attends monthly menu meetings and ensures monthly safety and sanitation audits are completed.
