Join to apply for the School Nutrition Head Entree Cook role at Indianapolis Public Schools

Schedule

5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (8 hours), Monday through Friday when school is in session and lunch is served. Hours may vary with workload.

Duties

1. Prepares fruits and vegetables, preps and bakes pizza, serves breakfast and lunch, and cleans prep area.
2. Keeps records as required for state reports.
3. Performs any other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

1. Ability to follow institutional recipes as written.
2. Good math skills; computer knowledge helpful.
3. Willingness to learn Point of Sale Cashiering System.
4. Good communication skills, including writing and reading abilities, to interact with students, staff, administration, and the public.
5. Ability to push, pull, or lift items weighing at least 35 pounds.
6. Must be ServSafe certified or pass ServSafe within the probationary period.
7. Ability to read and convert recipes through a proficiency test.
8. Willingness to attend job-related training provided by the Food Service Department.
