Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Food Service General Manager to lead a school nutrition program. You will oversee operations, drive nutritious meals, and partner with school staff to support student health and learning.

A hands-on leader will manage budgets, vendors, and a high-performing team to meet accountability standards. With ServSafe and HACCP-based experience, you will navigate regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement while delivering a family-friendly, reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination with nutrition director cert or experience
• 5–7 years progressive food service operations management
• 3–5 years general management with full P&L responsibility
• 1 year minimum experience in K-12 programs

Responsibilities

• Lead food service team to deliver nutritious meals to students and staff
• Oversee daily operations: scheduling, inventory, compliance, and food safety
• Collaborate with school staff to support health, learning and well-being
• Ensure compliance with NSLP, SBP and USDA guidelines
• Manage budgets, staffing, vendors, and performance goals
• Foster a student-centered, inclusive kitchen culture
