Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations in a K-12 school district. This leadership role requires expertise in food service management, compliance, and team supervision to ensure safe, nutritious dining services.

You will develop school menus in line with USDA/state guidelines, manage costs and budgeting, and lead cafeteria staff while maintaining clear communication with district administrators.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 1–2 years of proven staff management experience.
• Food service industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain necessary clearances and pass background checks.

• Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
