Madison County Schools is seeking a part-time School Nutrition Assistant to support breakfast preparation, meal service, and cashier duties at Brush Creek Elementary School. The role runs 10 months with about 5 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Job Summary

Work performed includes but is not limited to breakfast preparation, serving meals, and serving as a meal service cashier. Individuals are also responsible for monitoring and maintaining kitchen and cafeteria areas for the purpose of ensuring a safe and sanitary working environment. Individuals will also be responsible for performing other duties as requested.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred. Food service experience preferred.

• Planning skills to determine supplies needed and plan food parparation for the next day and future menus;advise manager as to how much food will be needed
• Common arithmetical functions for measuring ingredients and conversions of recipes; making change and balancing when operatin cash register
