Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a Food Service Worker for our school nutrition team in Port Jefferson Admin-54600. Shifts are Monday–Friday with no nights or weekends, and pay is $18.00/hour. You’ll prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff, keep stations clean, and follow safety procedures while working with a friendly team.

No prior experience is required—we’ll train you. This role offers a family-friendly schedule and a chance to support kids' health in a vibrant school community.

Qualifications

• Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training.
• 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and understand recipes and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
• Work as part of a fun, energetic team.
