Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group in Commack, NY is seeking a School Food Service Worker to fuel the future for students. Mon-Fri schedule, no nights or weekends, with a pay rate of $17/hour. You will prep and serve meals, maintain safety protocols, and contribute to a positive, smooth cafeteria operation.

The role offers family-friendly hours, on-site work, and opportunities for growth within our school nutrition team. Training is provided and prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Education: must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications: ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Other: English speaking/reading ability; positive, professional image.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
• Work as part of a fun, energetic team.
