Job summary

St. Joseph School District is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant (Part Time) to support food preparation and delivery in accordance with nutritional guidelines.

The role reports to the Food Service Supervisor/Kitchen Manager and follows the district's 9‑month term schedule. Responsibilities include stocking, food preparation from scratch as needed, maintaining sanitary conditions, and assisting with menu plans to meet daily nutrition requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Arrange food and beverages for serving to students and staff.
• Assist in stocking food, condiments and supplies.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Cook food as required to meet nutritional and menu requirements.
• Implement menu plans to meet daily nutritional needs.
• Inspect items for quantity, quality, and health standards.
• Inventory food and supplies to ensure availability.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in storage and preparation areas.
• Respond to inquiries about available food items and policies.
