Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a School Food Service Worker to support our nutrition team in Plainview, NY. The role involves prepping, portioning, and serving meals to students and staff, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork in a school kitchen.

Qualifications

• Training as required by Whitsons and government mandates.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and speak English to follow recipes and safety rules.
• Positive, professional image and effective teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
